NOTES ON CHINESE SPECIES OF PUCCINIA PARASITIC ON SCROPHULARIALES

ABSTRACT: Twelve species of Puccinia parasitic on plants belonging to Scrophulariales (Acanthaceae, Oleaceae, and Scrophulariaceae) found in China are reported. Of these, P. oreosolenis J. -y. Zhuang is described as a new species, and P. veronicae -longifoliae Savile is a new record in China. Illustrations are given for each species, based on Chinese collections. Comparative discussions of general morphological characters are included, and keys are provided for species on different plant families.
