ABSTRACT: In a survey of nematophagous fungi in China from 1989 to 1991, 900 isolates were studied from over 300 soil samples, from which 29 genera and 57 species of nematophagous fungi were identified and described. Results show that 10 species among 4 genera and 28 species of nematode-trapping fungi, 3 species among 4 genera and 4 genera and 4 species of endoparasites as well as 3 genera and 10 species among 22 genera and 25 species of pooortunistic fungi associated with the cyst of Heterodera glycines are new to China.
