AURISCALPIUM VULGARE: MATING SYSTEM AND BIOLOGICAL SPECIES

ABSTRACT: Self-crosses of single-spore isolates of Auriscalpium vulgare from Yunnan, China, and Wisconsin, United States, confirmed that the mating system of the species is bifactorial. Intercollection matings showed that no sexual barriers existed between these collections, implications of these data for biological species distribution are discussed.
